Just throw on an open knit cardigan, crop top, leather shoulder bag, printed skirt, classic loafers and you're set. Don't forget a no-fuss side braid!

Its The V-Day !

Yes,so..well,The dreaded D-day..I mean V-day has arrived. For most of us,it is dreaded(Yes,that's a subtle way of putting my "relationship status" out front)and will probably wear our favourite pj-s to bed and munch on pizza on hey!..ice-cream.But..fear not,you can also go out on the street or ..Yes,if you are "with someone" these days...I have some ideas on what you should wear-from appearing flirty to sexy..whatever mood you're in for...

ruffle skirt

A Flirty Ruffle Skirt

If you want to go all-out girly girl, work some ruffles! A tiered skirt like blogger Blair Eadie's look is festive and chic with a black turtleneck and peacoat.

lace dress

Ladylike Lace

Repeat after us: Lace dresses don't have to scream bridal. Stark white sneakers can lend a downtown feel to a long-sleeve style like blogger Hedvig Opshaug's dress, making it worthy of a V-Day outing.

Head-to-Toe Red

Going full-on red is an obvious Valentine's Day choice. Steal a page from blogger Helena Glazer's style playbook and use your accessories to shake up the monochromatic look.

A Winter Crop Top

Date night with your dude calls for a cold-weather cropped look like Editorialist cofounder Kate Davidson Hudson's top. Her turtleneck option works with a high-waist black midiskirt, proving you need to flash only a hint of skin to catch someone's eye.

Whimsical Novelty Prints

Have a little fun with the day's theme and go with a novelty shirt. Keep it in check by steering clear of bright hues, and instead choose a rich jewel tone like blogger Chiara Ferragni's Burberry top.

An Always Chic Little Black Dress

Heading to an I Hate Valentine's Day party? Might we suggest a dress-code-appropriate LBD! Pick one that has mixed materials or an interesting hemline—special touches that update the goes-with-everything dress. Style it with a long-line blazer and slip-on flats for a comfy, cool look.

slit skirt

A Thigh-High Slit Skirt

Leave it to blogger Leandra Medine to combine a lace crop top, high-slit skirt, and menswear oxfords. Her outfit nails it for those looking to straddle the sexy-but-not-trying-too-hard line.

silk cami

Sultry Slips or Camis

As far as we're concerned, there is nothing sexier than a slip dress or silk camisole. Blogger Irina Lakicevic's slinky dress is a toss-on-and-go must-have, so add it to the list of Valentine's Day options.

red sneakers

Sporty Red Sneakers

Hanging with your girlfriends? Denim it is! Make like blogger Danielle Bernstein and add a punch of color in honor of the day with red slip-ons and a matching cozy knit.
