#ACCESSORY WATCH : MILAN FASHION WEEK

16 Shoes I Loved at Milan Fashion Week

This is not a love letter to the shoes(yes!) , that I saw ,yes on the web , in Milan Fashion Week this year. Because I am sure that it would be embarrassing to write. Never mind , but that won't stop me singing the praises of the amazing over-the-knee boots from the Fendi Collection or the boots from Versace and so on.
Although , the shoes are not in the price range for many but fret not, there are many street style stores where the shoes are just as fabulous looking as these are and If you can find the one, no one will be able to tell if its Versace or Zara.

Alberta Ferretti RTW Fall 2016

Milan Fashion Week -

For Alberta Ferretti's Ready To Wear  Fall collection  the theme overall was classical romanticism.
There was lace gowns that bore resemblance of negligee, slinky satins, slip dresses , swaths of velvet and fur-for exposing the feminine side ,I suppose.
Below is an excerpt from a review by WWD.com :
“A world filtered by dreams, fantasies and aspirations,” was how show notes contextualized Alberta Ferretti’s fall collection. Most dreams occur during sleep, and what does one usually wear to bed? She took the obvious route into her dream world, opening the show with green satin pajama styles with pink lace insets.
 ........
It was all cut from Ferretti’s classic romantic femininity, yet much like a dream sequence, here, her vision felt blurred and disconnected. There were moments of tranquil allure .......

But robust furs and tweeds, as well as vivid nature-inspired decoration that included climbing floral embroidery on loose, hooded jacket, and birds-in-a-tree embroidery on a sparely cut gray bustier dress didn’t quite jive with Ferretti’s idea of sleeping beauty.
