Keep all of your makeup brushes visible, easy to access, and dust-free by storing them a clear straw dispenser. It’s more clean and compact than that old brush case you’ve been toting around.

Use thy wall space
Dorm rooms are tiny, but they do offer plenty of wall space—use it. Since you can’t take a hammer and nails to those dorm room walls, 3M Command Hooks ($8) are your new best friends. Put up a few low and out of sight and hang your styling tools from them. You’ll not only save space but also keep those cords neat and tidy.
Hang an Organizer
If your makeup collection is in danger of taking over your entire desk, it’s time to enlist the help of a hanging organizer. Those hanging makeup bags designed for travel are a great option. A hanging clear plastic shoe rack is another good choice for keeping all of your lipsticks and luminizers orderly. Get organized and save space by stacking your texture sprays, root lifters, and volumizing mousses on a wine rack. No more reaching blindly into a bin, grabbing cap after cap until you find the hairspray you were looking for (because we know you have several)
Stand Palettes Upright
If you’re a palette junkie, display them proudly like books. Rather than stacking them on top of each other and not being able to see what’s hiding in that pile, line them up upright and use a bookend or your file organizer to hold them in place. This way you’ll know exactly which Naked Palette you’re grabbing.
