DKNY payed homage to NY again .The clothes had a borrowed-from-boys feel: there was a lot of suits,oversized knits and coats in dark colors and sparse dashes of bejeweled detailing playing peekaboo which provided the dash of energy needed.
The effect was pretty on button-down shirts, where the jewels formed a military-like sash down the front of the shirt, and looked especially cool under blazers.
The footwear was good too: Athletic socks (with "DKNY" on the side, natch) paired with super-chunky heels or platform creepers added another masculine touch.
The collection can be best summed up by a line from Peaches' "Boys Wanna Be Her," which played during Sunday's runway show: "The girls wanna be her, the boys wanna be her, I wanna be her." (Source:Fashionista)
