New york Fashion Week got a dose of sexy in the form of DVF ala lace.
DVF creates dresses for women-beautiful,curve-hugging wrap dresses with lace ,colors red and black adorned the runway. Here's Style.com's review on the show :
“When you get old, you better enjoy your past.” Diane von Furstenberg offered one of the verbal pearls at which she excels and which make one wonder, if I live by those rules (or lack thereof), could I ever be 10 percent as fabulous? “You better be proud of your past,” she continued. “Live fully.”
When DVF’s girls of fall are in their dotage, my oh my, will they be proud. Von Furstenberg called her show “Seduction,” and her invitation featured a keyhole looking in upon a suggestive red field. Any synchronicity with a just-premiered, much-hyped movie is purely coincidental; how could von Furstenberg have known months ago when she started work on this collection? (Her music happened more recently. It’s from the film.)
Kismet or not, this collection was 50 shades of shameless, but playfully so, celebrating a woman who, according to the program notes, “commands her world” by day and “inspires fantasy” at night. She does it in a delirious swirl of lace-back wrap dresses, hourglass pinstripes, naughty swallow cutouts, flamboyant furs and insatiable lust for that passion-danger duet of red and black. It came in slipgowns, a very sporting polo dress (peekaboo red lace; sparkly red collar), and a parka to really take your mind off the cold, covered in metallic red DVF lips.
Audacious, racy, with some out-there moments. But lots of fun for a girl who lives fully and then some. Because what broad wants to look back on her youth as a wallflower?
